Recipe: Sonoma Sunny Sea Salt Sprinkle
A customizeable salt sprinkle that you can use on sweet and savory dishes!
This recipe has lots of variations:
- If you like a kick of heat, add 1 tsp. or more of Crushed Aleppo Chiles.
- For a smoky variation, substitute Sweet Spanish Smoked Paprika or Smoked Spanish Hot Paprika.
- If you like more citrus fresh flavor, add or substitute 1 tsp. Minced Lemon Peel.
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
This is an elegant finishing salt, impressive for for sweet or savory dishes. Excellent on baked goods, frozen yogurt/ice cream, breakfast dishes, couscous, beets, sweet potatoes, greens, fish, shrimp, scallops, crab, roasted veggies, and chicken.
