Southern Style Turnip Greens Recipe

INGREDIENTS
- 1 smoked ham hock or half a smoked ham shank (1 to 2 lb.)
- 1 quart chicken broth or water
- 3 to 4 lbs. fresh turnip greens
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 to 3 tsp. Wash Park All-Purpose Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
Add all Savory items to cart
DIRECTIONS
Rinse ham hock and place in a large pot with broth. Bring to a boil then cover and simmer for about 20 min. Meanwhile, rinse turnip greens well, roughly chop, and toss with lemon juice. Add greens and seasoning to pot. Cover and simmer for about 45 min. or until greens are tender. Add vinegar and adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Serve with vinegar, onion slices, and cornbread.
