INGREDIENTS
  • 2 apples, chopped
  • 1/2 cup berry flavored kombucha*
  • 1 lb. boneless pork loin roast (preferably Neiman Ranch)
  • olive oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Peruvian Chile Lime Seasoning

NOTES

*Kombucha is a fermented tea typically available in the bottled, ready-to-drink section of health food stores and grocery stores.



DIRECTIONS

Lay apples in the bottom of a slow cooker and pour in about 1/2 cup kombucha, or enough to almost cover apples. Place pork roast on a plate and lightly coat it with olive oil on all sides. Generously dust the meat on all sides with Peruvian Chile Lime Seasoning. Cook on low for at least 6 hours.



SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Serve with rice, refried beans, guacamole, and some tortilla chips.
