Change up the holiday sides this year with a Moroccan spiced sweet potato mash. Featuring sweet citrus and rich maple, these creamy potatoes go with anything from roast turkey to baked ham to a veggie tofurky. If you're not in a Moroccan mood, we offer suggestions for other spice blends that are a great match for sweet potatoes.

This recipe works with so many of our blends. Try it with Bucktown Brown Mustard & Honey Ham Rub, Pumpkin Pie Spice, Garam Masala, Park Hill Maple & Spice Pepper or Brown Sugar & Spice Honey Ham Rub.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Rinse and scrub sweet potatoes, poke a few holes in each with a fork and rub each lightly with oil. Place on a large foil-lined baking sheet and bake until easily pierced through with a knife, about 45 min. Remove from oven and let cool until comfortable to handle. Peel off skins and slice flesh directly into the bowl of an electric mixer with the whisk attachment. Add remaining ingredients and whisk at medium speed, stopping to scrape down sides of bowl as necessary, until smooth. Transfer to a large baking dish and serve, or cover and place in a warm oven until ready to serve.

“I was absolutely delighted to find your website! Your prices are outstanding when you compare what you spend in the grocery store for the small containers of spices they sell. I'll be ordering my spices direct from you in the future.”
