A necessity for the seafood enthusiast. Try this blend when preparing shrimp, lobster, crab or crawfish. Use 1 tbsp. of blend per quart of cold water; containing them in a tea ball or muslin bag. To release the flavor of this blend, toss the contained spices into the pot, bring to a boil and simmer for thirty minutes. At this point, all of the flavor from the spices should have released into the water. Now it is ready for a splash of white wine and your choice of shellfish.

Ingredients:
Brown and yellow mustard seeds, coriander, dill seeds, allspice, Ceylon cloves, cracked bay leaves and chiles

You can also use this blend when par boiling ribs or add 1-2 tsp. to the water in the bottom of the pan when cooking a beef or pot roast. Parboiling Ribs - Use 4-6 tbsp. of blend for 3-4 pounds of ribs in a 5-quart pot. Add spices into pot with the water and submerge the ribs. Cover and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes. Now the ribs are ready for grilling and should only need about 10 minutes on the grill.
