Peppercorns, Green, Brine
Green peppercorns are true peppercorns that evolved from the plant family Piperaceae. A product of the black peppercorn, these unripe berries of the same vine are picked before matured. These green peppercorns have been preserved in a brine of water, salt and citric acid. They are deep green in color and have a spicy aroma and flavor.
Ingredients: Green peppercorns, water, salt, citric acid.
The flavor of green peppercorns in brine is intensified when heated and they usually call for additional preparation and cooking. Use these peppercorns in cheeses, pates, sauces, and soups. They are key to making a good peppercorn steak. Refrigeration is not required and these peppercorns have a 4 year shelf life.
