Pepper, Black, Tellicherry: Coarse

Tellicherry black peppercorns are the best of the best and come from the Malabar Coast of India. These peppercorns are left on the vine to mature longer, creating a mellow, well-rounded taste which is a bit fruity.

Back in the days when the Roman Empire ruled, black pepper was used as an international means of currency and was said to be the king of all spices.

The sizes are determined by running the cracked or ground peppercorns through a variety of sieves or screens. Common mesh sizes such as 6, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 60 refer to holes per square inch. Coarse: 20/30 mesh size. This is the size just above a common pepper shaker pepper.

You will receive the product in plastic, sealable bags that will be labeled with the product name, uses, and ingredients if applicable. The bags meet FDA requirements for food applications. They are 100% recyclable and can be put in with all other plastics recycled at home.

  • Medium glass bottles hold 4 fluid ounces. The plastic lids have a split flip top. One side has a larger opening and the other side is a shaker.
  • Large glass bottles hold 12 fluid ounces. The plastic lids have a split flip top. On side has a larger opening and the other side is a shaker.
