Malabar black peppercorns are named for the region from which they are harvested, the Malabar Coast of India. These peppercorns have a bold and well-rounded taste, which is just a bit fruity.The first American millionaire was Elias Haskett Derby, who made his money importing black pepper. He used his fortune to endow Yale University.
Grind in your own peppermill or use where required whole. Their flavor will enhance many dishes. Add whole to soups, stews, stocks and marinades.
