While Savory Spice is proud of its Colorado roots, with growth into markets outside of our state we’ve embraced the flavors of each local area by making seasonings that are at home there. Georgia presented a unique opportunity. We are very lucky to have incredible Georgia barbeque made in Colorado by Nick and Matt, the proprietors of Georgia Boys BBQ. These Georgia natives know how to man a pit and how to spice it (it doesn’t hurt that they use our spices to create their blends)! Using their proprietary rib and chicken rubs, we created a new handcrafted, all-purpose barbeque rub. We mix together smoked sugars, salts, garlic, onion, paprika, chiles, black pepper, mustard, celery, thyme, cumin and Mexican oregano.

Brown sugar, white sugar, Alderwood smoked sea salt, kosher salt, onion, smoked Spanish sweet paprika, black pepper, mustard powder, chiles, garlic, Mild Chili Powder, French thyme, celery seeds.

Like the name says, it really is an all-purpose barbeque rub. Give it a try on anything you want to cue, but if you are looking to do it Georgia style you should focus on fruitwood smoked pork - particularly ribs, shoulders and hams!
