I use our version of this California BBQ rub when I’m smoking tri-tip. Janet’s favorite way to use it is for roasting root vegetables. Its coarse texture stands up well to high-heat cooking.

With that in mind, we put a twist on Santa Maria salt by using top-notch ingredients that make the traditional flavors of this BBQ rub shine.

Try this with:

  • Roast: Rub chicken, pork loin, or brisket with 1 tsp. per pound before roasting.
  • Mashed Potatoes: Season with 1 Tbsp. per pound potatoes.
  • Green Beans: Toss with a little oil and 1 Tbsp. per pound before grilling or sautéing.
