Berbere seasoning is also a main ingredient for flavoring stews of meat, known as doro wat, wats or we’ts (stew with Ethiopian-spiced chicken). Use to make a marinade by combining 2 Tbsp. Berbere seasoning with 1 cup olive oil and ⅓ cup lemon juice in a blender and puree. Spread onto meat of choice and marinate overnight.
