Black Garlic Ramen Spice & Easy Q&A
What is black garlic ramen?
Black garlic ramen is a take on classic ramen, a fusion of Chinese noodles and Japanese cuisine, that has added depths of flavor thanks to the inclusion of rich, savory and umami black garlic bulbs. Customize with mushrooms, tofu, or soft-boiled eggs. You can also add your own veggies or meats.
What does black garlic ramen taste like?
Black garlic ramen has a savory & umami flavor, with notes of smokiness and sweetness thanks to addition of aged black garlic. We blended the rich flavor of black garlic with creamy coconut, bold black pepper, delicate herbs, and a touch of licoricey star anise for an easy black garlic ramen recipe.
What to serve with black garlic ramen?
We recommend serving Black Garlic Ramen with add-ins and toppings. It's a stand-alone dish but can also be served with appetizers or small bites like edamame and bao buns.
What is the difference between Shoyu ramen and Tonkotsu ramen?
Our Black Garlic Ramen mix is more of the Shoyu-style of ramen. The broth for Shoyu ramen is typically soy sauce-based, while Tonkotsu ramen is a pork or chicken-based, thicker broth. Our ramen soup mix most closely resembles Shoyu-style ramen.
