Freeze Dried Shallots
Shallots are a member of the large onion family. Their taste is not as strong as white onion, but more of a cross between a sweet onion and mild garlic. Used extensively in French cooking, shallots have become a standard ingredient in many sauces because of their unique flavor. In the United States shallots have become equally popular and are used in soups, sauces, breads, meat fish, pork, and vegetable dishes.
