To make this tasty dip we mix together salt, dill weed, mild mustard, toasted onion, celery, parsley, ground dill seed, shallots, garlic, minced green onion and arrowroot. As a seasoning, this is excellent on salmon and other seafood.

Ingredients:
Salt, dill weed, mild mustard, toasted onion, celery, parsley, ground dill seed, shallots, garlic, minced green onion and arrowroot

To make this as a dip, use 1 to 2 Tbsp. Dill Dip per cup of either sour cream or cream cheese. For a healthier version, try using yogurt or cottage cheese. For a dressing, thin the dip mix with either milk or buttermilk. Try making a Dijon dip by mixing 2 to 3 tsp. Dill Dip with 1/2 cup of mayo, 1/4 cup Dijon mustard, and a couple of squirts of fresh lemon to taste. Another great idea is to chill the dip overnight, hollow out a loaf of pumpernickel or rye bread saving the cuttings for dipping, and fill your “bread bowl” with dip. Great presentation!

Spice Tips!

Try this with:

  • Dip/Spread: Add 1 Tbsp. to 1/2 cup sour cream + 1/2 cup softened cream cheese.
  • Tuna/Chicken Salad Dressing: Mix 2 tsp. with 1/2 cup mayonnaise for a quick, creamy dressing.
  • Pan-Fried Fish: Sprinkle each fillet with 1 to 2 tsp. then pan fry in butter.
"Great quality in everything I ordered the last time. Seems odd to order spices online but so much simpler than the long drive I'd have to make to get some of the items available on your site. I'm impressed."
