Our Crushed Aleppo Peppers are a mouthwatering, moderately hot blend of Aleppo pepper flakes. The Aleppo pepper is also known as the Halaby pepper. These Aleppo chili flakes are a cross between cumin & cayenne, and are a spicy & flavorful substitute for crushed red pepper flakes.

These burgundy colored peppers have a fruity, yet earthy, warm flavor that is a cross between cumin and cayenne.

More Information

They are only moderately hot, about a 3 to 4 on a heat scale of 1 to 10. The heat develops slowly, so you can enjoy the fruity flavor that lies underneath without being overwhelmed by the heat. Sprinkle on pizzas, salads or in chili. You can keep it out to have handy although the flavor will last longer if refrigerated.

Try this with:

  • Hummus: Sprinkle over top just before serving.
  • Chile Butter: Mix 1 Tbsp. into 1 stick softened butter and spread over corn, steak, or fish.
  • Pita Chips: Brush pita bread with oil, sprinkle with chiles, and bake at 350 degrees for 10 min. or until crisp.
