Tikka masala is thought to have been created by accident. A Bangladeshi chef served traditional Chicken Tikka only to be asked by a British diner, “Where’s the gravy?” The chef, tossing in a can of creamy tomato soup & spices said, “You want gravy? I’ll give you gravy!”
