Serves
4 to 6 servings
Cooking Time
30 minutes
Ingredients
1 lbs. ground turkey*
Hudson Bay Beef Spice
1 Tbsp. plus ½ tsp. Hudson Bay Beef Spice
1 onion, finely minced
6 Tbsp. canola oil, divided
4 hamburger buns or 6 slider buns
Directions
Combine ground turkey, 1 Tbsp. Hudson Bay, and 1/2 cup of the minced onion. Form into 4 burgers or 6 slider patties and set aside. In a small pan, add 2 Tbsp. oil, the remaining minced onion, and 1/2 tsp. Hudson Bay. Saute over medium-low heat for about 15 min., or until onions are soft and slightly sweet. While onions cook, heat 2 Tbsp. oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add turkey burgers and cook for 5 to 6 min. per side or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Remove burgers from pan and add remaining 2 Tbsp. oil. Toast buns, cut side down, in oil until golden brown, about 1 to 2 min. Assemble burgers on the toasted buns and top with sauteed onions.
Recipe Notes
*You can use ground turkey of any lean to fat percentage but 85/15 will help give you a moist burger.
