1 (28 oz.) can petite diced tomatoes
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (optional)

About this Spice

This is an easy pantry staple to make a quick Italian sauce when you don't have time to simmer it all day, perfect for pasta or pizza. Also, use to top chicken parmesan or eggplant parmigiana. Classic Marinara Sauce was previously known as Rustic Red Sauce. New name, same great flavor!

With Spice & Easy, cooking is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Just open, spice and serve. Each Meal Starter Spice Mix includes the pre-measured seasonings needed to make a quick, simple and tasty recipe.

DIRECTIONS:

In a medium pot over medium heat, add Classic Marinara Sauce mix, tomatoes, and olive oil (if using) and stir until combined. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 8 to 10 min., stirring occasionally.



SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

Use as a sauce for pasta, pizza, or breaded chicken.
Top with fresh herbs and grated Parmesan.
