How to Use

Use as an all-purpose seasoning to build depth and golden color in rice, beans, meats, and vegetables. Rub onto pork, beef, or chicken before grilling, or stir into arroz con pollo for classic flavor and color. A versatile staple for everyday cooking.

A Journey of Flavor

Sazón is as common in the Caribbean as salt and pepper are in the United States. The word itself means “seasoning” or “condiment” in Spanish, so when we set out to create our version, we wanted to honor that tradition while adding a twist that gives Latin flavor lovers a reason to reach for a jar of our own sazón. Most brands of sazón use annatto or paprika for their signature red color. We respected that foundation, but by adding saffron powder alongside annatto, we created a golden hue with subtle floral notes and gentle earthiness. The result stays true to its roots while bringing a new dimension to the table. Using Golden Sol at home: Use in instances you would normally reach for an all-purpose seasoning. Toss with roasted potatoes, stir into beans, or rub on pork chops before grilling. For a classic Latin flair, add a few teaspoons to arroz con pollo for vivid color and layered flavor.

About this Spice

A staple across Latin American and Caribbean kitchens, sazón is a beloved all-purpose seasoning known for its vibrant color and layered flavor. Our version is led by annatto for its signature hue and subtle earthiness, balanced with garlic, onion, and Mexican oregano. A touch of saffron adds gentle floral notes, elevating this traditional sazón spice blend into something uniquely aromatic and refined. Ideal for seasoning meats, rice, beans, and more. Formerly known as Siesta Key Spanish Sazon.
