Savory Everything Bagel Rolls

These delicious, savory bagel rolls are filled with cream cheese and sprinkled with our classic Five Points Everything Bagel Blend. Perfect for breakfast for a crowd or when serving brunch!

Ingredients
For dough: 1 ¼ oz. packet active dry yeast 1 tsp. sugar ¼ cup warm water ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil 2 eggs ¼ cup sugar

½ cup cold water
⅜ cup room temperature unsalted butter, divided
For filling:
4 ½ cups all-purpose flour (plus up to ½ cup more)
24 oz. softened cream cheese

1 cup low-moisture mozzarella, shredded
Directions
Step 1
In a medium bowl, mix the yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar, cover in ¼ cup warm water. Set aside until the mixture starts to bubble and puff, about 5 minutes.
Step 2
In a separate large bowl whisk the melted butter, oil, eggs, sugar, and salt. Mix in the cold water, and then the hot water. Add the yeast mixture and stir until combined.
Step 3
Add 4 ½ cups flour and stir until combined, then knead the mixture by hand until smooth, about 5 minutes, dusting with the extra ½ cup flour as needed. The dough should not be too sticky.
Step 4
Put the dough in a large clean bowl, cover with plastic wrap and leave at room temperature until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours. Alternatively, proof in the refrigerator overnight. Remove the dough from the fridge to come to room temperature for about 2 hours before continuing.
Step 5
Meanwhile, grease a 9x13 baking pan with 2 tablespoons room temperature butter, set aside. Then, in a medium bowl combine the softened cream cheese with ½ cup Five Points Everything Bagel Blend and shredded mozzarella.
Step 6
Punch down the dough and set on a lightly floured work station. Roll the dough into a 20X10 rectangle. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly across the dough with an offset spatula. Roll the long edge of the dough up onto itself, into a tight rolled log.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Step 8
Cut the log into 12 even pieces and set them in the prepared baking pan, cut sides up. Cover in plastic wrap and let the dough proof for a second time in a warm draft free area, until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
Step 9
Brush the proofed rolls with 2 tablespoons melted butter and dust with more Five Points Everything Bagel Blend. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven and brush again with the remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter.
