Lemon Lavender Scones Recipe

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- Zest of one lemon
- 11 Tbsp. chilled butter, cut into small pieces
- 3/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. half and half
- 1 tsp. Pure Lemon Extract
- 3/4 tsp. Lavender
- 1 Tbsp. Lavender Vanilla Bean Sugar, more to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease a baking sheet or use a silicone baking mat. Blend flour, sugar, baking powder and lemon peel in food processor. Add butter and pulse until mixture resembles a course meal. Transfer mixture to a large bowl. Make a well in the center of the mix and add 3/4 cup half and half and extract. Stir just until moist, then fold in lavender. Turn out dough and gently knead until smooth, about 8 turns, sprinkling with additional flour if necessary until dough is no longer sticky. Roll into a 3/4-inch thick round. Divide into 8 or 12 wedges, depending on desired size. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet, laying scones 1 inch apart. Brush tops with remaining 2 Tbsp. half and half and sprinkle with Lavender Vanilla Bean sugar. Bake scones until light brown, about 15 to 18 min. Cool completely.
