The Pearl St. Pedestrian Mall is one of the most visited places in Boulder, CO and we are lucky enough to have one of our shops in the vicinity. Partner and owner of that shop, Dan Hayward, created this blend with three distinct flavor characteristics: sweet, spicy, and smoky. We call it a plank rub because it was created with cedar plank salmon in mind.
Obviously Pearl St. Plank Rub is amazing on salmon, but give it a try on other seafood like scallops and shrimp. Additionally, this blend is great on poultry, pork, ribs, and veggies. To use as rub, start with 1 Tbsp. per pound. To use as a seasoning, use a lighter hand, around a tsp. per pound.
