Jerk Marinade
Recipe by Savory Spice Test Kitchen
Bring the island vibes to your backyard with bold, sweet and spicy jerk seasoning and a splash of fresh citrus. Turn on the grill, gather your people, and let the island heat work its magic.
Alternatively, you can mix up a small batch of marinade just for basting or making a quick paste.

Caribbean Green Jerk Seasoning
Caribbean Green Jerk Seasoning
6 Tbsp. orange juice
6 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
4 Tbsp. lime juice
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
3 Tbsp. olive oil
Directions
Step 1
Combine all ingredients and use to marinate your favorite protein for up to 12 hours.
Step 2
Reserve and put leftover marinade in a small pan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then lower the heat and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, until it thickens, about 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 3
For a basting sauce, simmer just until slightly thickened. For a richer, spicier paste, let it cook down even more. Mix it into rice or add it on top of the protein for an extra kick.
Recipe Notes
One batch is all you need to marinate 2 lbs. of protein.
