
Lake Barkley Fried Chicken Seasoning
Lake Barkley brings back childhood memories of vacationing in the south, where fried foods were abundant. Though it was created as a seasoning for fried chicken, this blend can also be used on pork and beef. Rub on a pork roast before cooking or mix a bit into your favorite meatloaf recipe.
For Lake Barkley Fried Chicken, mix 1/4 cup Lake Barkely with 1 cup all-purpose flour. Dunk the chicken in buttermilk (for a light, fluffy crust) and roll in the flour mixture, coating it completely. Deep fry in vegetable oil and remove when chicken floats to the surface. Try this with deep fried perch or catfish too.
