"4B" refers to the bison, blue cheese, basil, and bacon that give this burger layers and layers of flavor. Try ground bison for a leaner but still flavorful option to ground beef.

Recipe Notes

This recipe also works with beef instead of bison.

Ingredients

For the burger:

1 lb. ground bison

For the toppings:

Directions

Step 1: Make burgers

Preheat grill for medium-high heat. In a medium bowl, mix together Great Plains Bison & Beef Rub, Smoked Spanish Sweet Paprika, and Worcestershire Sauce. Add ground bison and mix with hands until well combined. Form mixture into 4 patties. Grill burgers until cooked through, about 5 min. per side. Toast buns on grill while burgers are cooking.

Step 2: Assemble

Divide blue cheese crumbles among the top of all 4 burgers just before removing them from the grill. Place burgers on toasted buns and top each with beefsteak tomato slices, a small handful of basil leaves, and bacon slices.
