Directions
Step 1
In a small bowl, mix Family Style Fajita Seasoning with olive oil and lime juice. Add sliced steak, sliced chicken, or shrimp to a dish and pour the fajita marinade over top, toss to evenly distribute. Marinate for at least 30 minutes and up to 8 hours max.
Step 2
Flat-Top Grill Instructions: Heat flat-top to 350°, add 1 Tbsp. neutral oil and heat. Add steak, chicken, or shrimp and sear. Cook for 8-10 minutes (cook times vary for each protein), turning meat occasionally. Cook until protein reaches the appropriate internal temperature.
Step 3
Stovetop Instructions: Heat skillet to medium-high heat. Heat 1 Tbsp. of the neutral oil and sear protein. Cook for 8-10 minutes (cook times vary for each protein), turning occasionally. Cook until protein reaches the appropriate internal temperature.
Step 4
Meanwhile, heat the remaining 2 Tbsp. of neutral oil directly on the flat top grill, or in a skillet on the stovetop. Add red onions and peppers and season with Makrut Lime Sea Salt and Mexican Oregano. Cook, tossing occasionally, until slightly softened and charred in some spots for about 7 minutes. Fajita vegetables should still have a nice crunch when served. Remove from heat.
Step 5
Serve with warm tortillas, lime wedges, sour cream, guacamole, rice, and beans.
Recipe Notes
Choose a neutral oil that has a high smoke point for grilling. Avocado, safflower, or sunflower oil are all great options. Their flavors won’t compete with your spices, and they’re built to handle high temps without smoking out your cookout.
