Saffron-Salted Panna Cotta

This creamy traditional Italian dessert pairs exquisitely with a sprinkle of Saffron Salt and your favorite fruit.

Ingredients
1 1/4 tsp. gelatine powder 3/4 cup whole milk 3 Tbsp. granulated sugar
Saffron Salt
1/4 tsp. Saffron Salt*, plus more for garnishing
1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. Natural Vanilla Extract

Directions
Step 1
Prepare a small ice water bath and set aside.
Step 2
In a small saucepan, dissolve gelatine powder in milk then add sugar and Saffron Salt. Heat to 135°F over medium-low heat. Turn off the heat and add heavy whipping cream and Natural Vanilla Extract.
Step 3
Pour into a bowl that can rest in the ice bath and cool to 50 degrees.
Step 4
Pour through a fine-mesh sieve and into 4, 1/2 cup (or larger) serving cups or bowls.
Step 5
Sprinkle Saffron Salt to taste on top of each serving cup/bowl. Cover and chill 1 to 2 hours, or until set.
