European basil leaves are milder than our California basil, and has a slight anise flavor. Practically everything is better after seasoning with dried basil, including but not limited to: tomatoes, corn, olives, mozzarella cheese, poultry, seafood, pasta, sauces and pizza. How to Use
Add European basil leaves to tomato-based sauces. Season poultry and seafood. Sprinkle on pasta and pizza. When substituting dry basil for fresh, use 1/3 of the amount specified.
