Spoon the gravy over turkey, chicken, or mashed potatoes. Add the optional add-ins of shredded turkey or chicken and veggies and serve over biscuits or baked potatoes as a main dish meal.

Ingredients

For gravy:

1 tsp. olive oil

1 shallot, minced

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 cup heavy cream

4 oz. cream cheese, softened

2 Tbsp. seasoning of choice:




Optional add-ins:

½ lbs. cooked shredded turkey or chicken

1 (10 oz.) bag frozen mixed veggies (carrots, peas, green beans, etc.)

Directions

For gravy: In a medium pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shallot and cook 4 to 5 min. until translucent. Add butter. Once butter has melted, stir in heavy cream and cream cheese until smooth. Add seasoning of choice, black pepper, and salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to let it boil. Serve immediately.

For add-ins: Once gravy is prepared, add the optional add-ins and continue heating until everything is warmed through.
