How to Use
4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1 Sun-Dried Tomato Minestrone mix
1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes, undrained
5 cups water
2 cups small diced or thinly sliced vegetables, such as beans, carrots, kale, peas, potatoes, squash, etc.
1 cup small, dry pasta, such as ditalini, elbows, farfalle, shells, etc.

About this Spice

A new and improved version of our popular minestrone soup, the veggies are up to you now! Add your favorite seasonal vegetables to this Meal Starter Spice Mix to make an easy dinner any time of year. This classic dry minestrone soup packet was inspired by the rustic flavors of Italy.

With Spice & Easy, making minestrone is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Just open, spice and serve. Each Meal Starter Spice Mix includes the pre-measured seasonings needed to make a quick, simple and tasty minestrone recipe.

DIRECTIONS:

In a large pot, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add Sun-Dried Tomato Minestrone mix, tomatoes, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer (uncovered) for 20 min., stirring occasionally. Stir in vegetables and pasta and simmer for 15 to 20 min. until vegetables are cooked through and pasta is tender.



SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

Top with fresh basil and Parmesan. Serve with crusty bread. Try making with Italian sausage.



NOTES:

Add sausage, beans, or extra veggies to make it your own.


For a vegan version, replace butter with vegan butter.
