Directions
Line a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper. In a bowl, combine sugar and water and mix until it reaches the consistency of wet sand. Spoon the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and press lightly to make an even surface. Allow sugar to set for about an hour, then score the surface of the pressed sugar with a knife in half-inch increments. Let the sugar sit overnight to harden. Gently break into cubes along the scored lines.
