Spiced Brown Sugar Ham with Honey Butter Glaze

Holiday ham glazed with a rich blend of brown sugar, honey, warm spices, floral pepper, and citrus. Made with Savory Reserve Release No. 01, Spiced Brown Sugar Honey Ham Rub, a small-batch, limited-release blend from our test kitchen to yours.

Ingredients
5-8 lb. bone-in ham 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter, softened 3 Tbsp. Spiced Brown Sugar Honey Ham Rub
Kosher Salt
Kosher Salt, a pinch
2 tsp. fresh orange zest, optional
Directions
Step 1
Cook ham according to package directions.
Step 2
While ham cooks, mix butter and Spiced Brown Sugar Honey Ham Rub until smooth. Add a pinch of Kosher Salt and orange zest and stir to combine.
Step 3
Place glaze ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Reduce the heat to medium-low and gently simmer for about 20 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Step 4
When the ham is 45 minutes from being done, remove from the oven, brush with ¼ of the glaze, and return to the oven.
Step 5
Brush with ¼ of the glaze every 15 minutes, for a total of 3 more applications. Reserve the remaining glaze.
Step 6
When the ham reaches a safe internal temperature of 145°F, remove it from the oven.
Step 7
Immediately brush on the remaining glaze, then let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
