Eastern Carolina BBQ Sauce

This vinegar based sauce gets an extra helping of tang from mustard powder and a healthy dose of sweetness from molasses and brown sugar. It's perfect for traditional Carolina BBQ, a.k.a. chopped or pulled pork.

Ingredients
4 tsp. cornstarch 4 tsp. cold water 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar 2 Tbsp. molasses 1/4 cup dark brown sugar 4 Tbsp. Carolina High Country BBQ Rub 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
Regular Yellow Mustard Powder
1 Tbsp. Regular Yellow Mustard Powder
Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce

Directions
Mix cornstarch with cold water and set aside. Next, mix together remaining ingredients in a large saucepan, place over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and slowly drizzle in cornstarch and water mixture. Stir and simmer for 1 to 2 min. until slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Serve warm or at room temperature.
