Grapefruit Cardamom Gin Fizz

Warm and woodsy with cardamom, a tart kick of fresh grapefruit, and earthy rosemary syrup. Easy to make yet effortlessly elegant for any special occasion.

Ingredients
Green Cardamom Pods
6 Green Cardamom Pods
For rosemary simple syrup:
½ cup granulated syrup
½ cup water
2 rosemary sprigs
For cocktail:
1 oz. rosemary simple syrup
1.5 oz. cardamom-infused gin
¼ cup fresh grapefruit juice
1 oz Prosecco, chilled
1 rosemary sprig, to garnish
Grapefruit peel with a twist, to garnish
Directions
Step 1
Make cardamom-infused gin
Step 2
Stir together gin and cardamom pods in an airtight container. Let stand at room temperature until gin is infused, about 12 hours.
Step 3
Pour cardamom-infused gin through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a pitcher; discard cardamom pods.
Step 4
Make rosemary simple syrup
Step 5
Bring water and sugar to a simmer over medium-low heat. Add rosemary springs and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Pour rosemary simple syrup through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a pitcher or glass jar; discard rosemary.
Step 6
Make the cocktail

Combine rosemary simple syrup, cardamom-infused gin, and grapefruit juice in a large shaker or jar filled with plenty of ice. Shake hard for at least 30 seconds. Pour cocktail and top with Prosecco. Garnish each cocktail with a rosemary sprig and grapefruit twist.
