These are great for a cheese platter, scattered over a salad or as a topping for pumpkin pie or cheesecake. Make a double batch and give as holiday gifts.

Chinese Five Spice Pecans

Ingredients

1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
Spiced Vanilla Bean Sugar 1/2 cup Spiced Vanilla Bean Sugar
1/2 cup water
Fine Pink Himalayan Sea Salt 1 tsp. Fine Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
Fine Black Malabar Pepper 1/2 tsp. Fine Black Malabar Pepper
Chinese Five Spice 2 tsp. Chinese Five Spice
4 cups pecan halves

Recipe Notes

For a slightly different flavor direction, try Garam Masala or Mt. Baker Chai Spice Seasoning in place of Chinese Five Spice.
