Sausage & Peppers Pizza

When you want a no-fuss weeknight meal, make this easy pizza.

Ingredients
1 cup tomato sauce
Italian Herbs
2 tsp. Italian Herbs
2 tsp. Onion & Garlic Tableside Sprinkle
Crushed Aleppo Chiles
1 tsp. Crushed Aleppo Chiles, plus more to sprinkle
Salt, to taste
1 Tbsp. olive oil
½ lb. ground Italian pork sausage
1 green or red bell pepper, sliced
8 button or baby bella mushrooms, sliced
1 lb. premade pizza dough
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese

Directions
Step 1
Make pizza sauce
Step 2
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a small pot, stir together tomato sauce, Italian Herbs, Onion & Garlic Tableside Sprinkle, Crushed Aleppo Chiles, and salt to taste. Stir over low heat until warm.

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add Italian sausage and cook for 5 min. while breaking it into bite-size pieces. Transfer cooked sausage to a plate. Add peppers and mushrooms to skillet and cook for 5 min. then transfer to plate with sausage. Step 3: Assemble & bake pizza

Roll out pizza dough to a 12-inch circle and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread warm pizza sauce evenly over the center of the dough. Top with mozzarella, provolone, and reserved sausage and vegetable mixture. Bake for 10 to 15 min. or until crust is browned and cheese is fully melted. Let cool slightly, sprinkle with additional Crushed Aleppo Chiles if desired, slice, and serve.
