Who doesn't love a good mug of hot cocoa? You can make a simple hot chocolate with our Dutch Cocoa Powder. Or you can spice it up! Make it minty with Peppermint Vanilla Bean Sugar. Add a chile kick with our Mayan Cocoa. Or give it a cinnamon infusion with our Mexican Cocoa.

DIRECTIONS

Mix cocoa and sugar together in a drinking mug. Pour in about 2 Tbsp. of the hot milk and mix together to form a paste. (Doing this helps to dissolve the cocoa and results in a non-clumpy drink.) Slowly pour in the rest of the milk and mix thoroughly. If needed, add more sugar to taste. Recipe can be multiplied and made in a saucepan to serve more.



SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Serve with whipped cream or marshmallows and shaved chocolate. Or change it up and make it with one of Savory’s flavored vanilla bean sugars and various cocoa powders.

Try one of these variations:

- Use Peppermint Vanilla Bean Sugar and top with crushed peppermint candies.

- Use Mayan Cocoa and top with Crushed Aleppo Chiles.
