Italian Herbs Q&A
What herbs are in Italian seasoning?
Dried herbs like thyme, oregano, basil, marjoram and rosemary are the most commonly used herbs in Italian seasoning blends.
What's the difference between Herbes de Provence and Italian seasoning?
Herbes de Provence is a French dried herb seasoning blend that contains more floral flavors, like lavender, fennel and summer savory. Italian seasoning does not typically contain any of those more floral herbs, and was created for Italian cuisine rather than French. Herbes de Provence is like a French version of Italian herbs.
