Herbed Mashed Potatoes

No holiday meal is complete without mashed potatoes. Break out of the box and spice up your holiday mash with some herby goodness. Your guests will love you for it!
Serves
6 to 8 servings
Ingredients
2 1/2 lbs. russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
Mayan Sea Salt
2 Tbsp. Mayan Sea Salt, plus more to taste
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 Tbsp. Seasoning of choice:

Directions
Step 1
Cook potatoes
Step 2
Place potatoes in a large pot and add cold water to cover by 2 inches. Add Mayan Sea Salt. Bring to a boil and cook potatoes for 10 to 15 min. until easily pierced to the center with a fork but not falling apart. Remove from heat and strain.
Step 3
Mash & season potatoes
Step 4
Return potatoes to pot and use a potato masher, ricer, food mill, or fork to mash to desired consistency. In a small pot over medium heat, bring cream just to a simmer, then add to potatoes. Add butter and seasoning of choice and stir until creamy. Add Mayan Sea Salt to taste.
