2 slices of bread, thick-sliced whole-grain or sourdough bread 1 ripe Haas avocado
French Fleur de Sel
French Fleur de Sel, to taste
Choice of seasoning:

Optional toppings:
Fried or poached Egg
Smoked salmon
Pickled onions
Sliced Heirloom tomato

Directions
Step 1
Toast bread until golden and firm.
Step 2
Cut avocado in half and remove pit. Using a big spoon, scoop the flesh into a medium-sized bowl. Mash with a fork until it's as smooth as you prefer. Add a pinch of French Fleur de Sel, to taste.
Step 3
Divide avocado in half and spread on both pieces of toast. Sprinkle Capitol Hill Seasoning (or desired blend) and French Fleur de Sel on top of avocado and/or top with other optional/desired toppings.
Recipe Notes
Use ripe (but not over-ripe) Haas avocados. At the perfect ripeness they will yield just a touch to a gentle squeeze. Thick-slice, whole-grain or sourdough bread offers a sturdy base and a crisp contrast to creamy avocado. Feel free to use your favorite Savory Spice seasoning or blend–avocado toast is endlessly customizable!
