With this set, cutting salt is simple. These seasonings may be salt-free, but they are packed with flavor. Use the mustard-based Bohemian Forest to amp up the flavor of chicken, give roasted veggies a sweet note with Park Hill, add Cantanzaro Herbs to tomato sauce for pasta night, and use Mt. Evans to boost your favorite soup. Getting creative with your cooking while sticking to a salt-free diet is simple with these seasonings in your kitchen.

This spice set contains the following products in 1/2 cup glass jars:

Bohemian Forest

Park Hill Maple Pepper

Cantanzaro Herbs

Mt. Evans Butcher's Rub

Bohemian Forest: Crushed brown mustard seed, garlic, rosemary, black pepper, Mediterranean thyme, savory, parsley, lavender and sage

Park Hill Maple Pepper: Maple sugar, white sugar, black pepper, coriander, turmeric, ginger, nutmeg, fenugreek, anise seed, cumin, Saigon cinnamon, regular mustard powder, mace, cardamom, minced green onion

Cantanzaro Herbs: Garlic, lemon peel, marjoram, European basil, Mediterranean thyme, rosemary, Greek oregano

Mt. Evans Butcher's Rub: Black pepper, red and green bell peppers, onion, garlic, shallots, minced green onion, Mediterranean thyme, arrowroot, California basil, spices

INGREDIENTS:

3 to 4 pound whole chicken
2 to 3 Tbsp of your choice of seasoning:
Bohemian Forest
Park Hill Maple Pepper
Cantanzaro Herbs
Mt. Evans Butcher's Rub

DIRECTIONS:

Remove giblets and pat chicken dry with paper towel. Rub chicken thoroughly with seasoning of choice, sprinkling some inside the cavity as well. Set chicken in a slow cooker and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165 degrees. Carefully move the chicken to a platter (it may be so tender that it falls off the bone), cover with foil, and allow it to rest 5 to 10 min. before carving and serving. While chicken is resting, pour the juices from the slow cooker into a small saucepan and simmer for 5 to 10 min. to reduce and serve on the side as a sauce.

SERVING SUGGUSTIONS: Serve over rice or noodles or use in enchiladas, soup, or on salads. Add your favorite root vegetables like potatoes, carrots, or onions to the crockpot with the chicken at the beginning to add flavor and a built-in side dish!

YIELDS: 1 whole roast chicken
