European basil leaves are milder than our California basil, and has a slight anise flavor. Practically everything is better after seasoning with dried basil, including but not limited to: tomatoes, corn, olives, mozzarella cheese, poultry, seafood, pasta, sauces and pizza. This summer basil is milder than our California basil with anise notes and pairs well with chives, garlic, mint, and thyme.
How to Use
Add European basil leaves to tomato-based sauces. Season poultry and seafood. Sprinkle on pasta and pizza. When substituting dry basil for fresh, use 1/3 of the amount specified.
