Directions

Step 1: Make cake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and Mayan Sea Salt. In a small pot, melt butter, then stir in Natural Cocoa Powder and Baking Spice. Add boiling water and allow mixture to boil for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and pour cocoa mixture over flour mixture and stir lightly to cool. In a separate medium bowl, mix together buttermilk, beaten eggs, baking soda and Natural Vanilla Extract. Stir buttermilk mixture into chocolate and flour mixture.

Step 2: Bake cake

Pour batter into a lightly buttered or oiled 18x13 sheet cake pan. Bake for 20 min. until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 3: Make icing and serve

In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, Natural Cocoa Powder, and Baking Spice. Add milk, Natural Vanilla Extract, and powdered sugar and stir to combine. Fold in pecans. Pour icing over warm cake and garnish with extra pecans. Let cake cool before serving.
