
Juniper Berries
Main ingredient for flavoring gin, as well as other liqueurs. Intensely spicy in flavor, with a hint of pine. Crush berries and rub on gamier meats for grilling or roasting, as juniper tends to help reduce gaminess, as well as add a nice tart flavor. Crushing juniper berries before use will also release their oils and enhance the spicy and piney flavor they impart. Additionally, juniper berries are great to use for marinades and sauces.
