Details

Like many herbs, thyme is a member of the mint family and closely related to marjoram, oregano and basil. There are more than 100 varieties of thyme and the most commonly used are Mediterranean thyme and French thyme.
Thyme is commonly used throughout France in every day cooking. This premium quality French thyme is a deeper, a darker green color and has a stronger aroma than Mediterranean thyme. The leaf itself is about the same size but is a bit more flavorful and contains a slight bitterness. Try using this premium French thyme in soups, stews, roasts or potatoes.
