INGREDIENTS:

1 cup tomato sauce*
2 tsp. Italian Herbs
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 lb. ground Italian pork sausage
1 green or red bell pepper, sliced
8 button mushrooms, sliced
1 precooked pizza crust
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 slices Provolone cheese, cut into strips

*Use more or less tomato sauce depending on how saucy you like your pizza.

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a small pot, combine tomato sauce and Italian Herbs and warm over low heat. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add Italian sausage and cook for 5 min. then transfer to a plate. Add peppers and mushrooms to skillet and cook for 5 min. then add to plate with sausage. Spread warmed tomato-herb sauce over pizza crust. Top with mozzarella, Provolone, and cooked sausage and vegetable mixture. Bake for 10 to 15 min. or until crust is browned and cheese and sauce are bubbling. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
