Ingredients

Trail mix base:

1 egg white

1 Tbsp. water

16 oz. unsalted nuts of choice (cashews, almonds, peanuts, etc.)

Flavor profile of choice:

California Crunch:



1 cup dried cranberries

¾ cup butterscotch chips

¼ cup sunflower seeds

Peachy Queen:



1 cup diced dried apricots

¾ cup white chocolate chips

¼ cup pumpkin seeds

Open Sesame:



1 cup diced dates

¾ cup dark chocolate chips

¼ cup pine nuts

Directions

Step 1: Season nuts

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, whisk together egg white and water until foamy. Add nuts of choice, sweetener (Maple Sugar, Vanilla Bean Sugar, or Honey Powder), and seasoning (Coastal Cali Fennel Pollen Rub, Georgia Peach Spice, or Za'atar Seasoning). Mix to coat nuts.

Step 2: Bake and assemble trail mix

Spread nuts in an even layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 60 min., stirring once every 20 min. Cool for 30 min. In a medium bowl, combine nuts and remaining add-ins. Store in an air-tight container and enjoy within 2 weeks.
