Preheat oven to 375 degrees and prepare a standard muffin pan, either with muffin liners or grease with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine sugar, butter, eggs, and sour cream. Stir to combine. Add dried apples, flour, baking powder, Baking Spice, salt, and baking soda. Fold just until no dry powders remain. Fill muffin cups three-quarters of the way full and sprinkle each with about 1/2 tsp. smoked sugar. Bake for 20 to 25 min., or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into one of the muffins comes out clean.

Serving Suggestions

Serve warm with butter.
